Ostra, located at One Charles Street South in Boston’s Back Bay, is a contemporary Mediterranean restaurant. Inspired by local and European varieties of seafood, Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano and Executive Chef Mitchell Randall focus on specialty seafood found throughout the Mediterranean and regions within the U.S. The light preparation of our cuisine highlights the natural and fresh flavors of each dish. The dining room at Ostra evokes a sense of style and sophistication in a comfortable and inviting setting. Ostra’s private dining room accommodates up to 42 for a seated event and up to 70 for a cocktail reception.

Chef Jamie Mammano began redefining the Boston restaurant scene in 1997 with the opening of Mistral, a French/Mediterranean restaurant in Boston’s South End. In January 2006 the pair opened Sorellina, offering regional Italian-Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist, a unique wine list and a warm-modern design intertwined with the glow of a back wall mural and floor-to-ceiling windows. Chef Mammano and Roiff followed this by partnering in The Federalist in November 2005. In August 2007, The Federalist transitioned into a modern steakhouse named Mooo…..In February 2022, the Columbus Hospitality Group opened a second Mooo…. restaurant in Seaport on Melcher Street. Also in July 2022, the company transitioned the previously known L’Andana, a wood-grilled Tuscan cuisine, into Mooo….Burlington.
